Description:

www.marinoshop.com.br - 1982 Drinkin' TNT 'n' Smokin' Dynamite (live) -- Blind Pig (rec. 1974 Montreax Jazz Fest.) Carlos Augusto Alves Santana (born July 20, 1947), known simply as Carlos Santana or Santana, is a Grammy Award-winning Mexican-born American Latin rock musician and guitarist. He became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, the Santana Blues Band, going mostly under the title "Santana," which created a highly successful blend of salsa, rock, blues, and jazz fusion. Their sound featured his often high-pitched and distorted guitar lines set against Latin American instrumentation such as timbales and congas. Santana continued to work in these forms over the following decades, and experienced a sudden resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. Over his career he has sold an estimated 80 million albums worldwide. George "Buddy" Guy (born July 30, 1936) is an American blues and rock guitarist and singer. Known as an inspiration to Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and other 1960s blues and rock legends, Guy is considered an important exponent of Chicago blues. He is the father of female rapper Shawnna. Guy is known for his showmanship; for example, he plays his guitar with drumsticks, or strolls into the audience while jamming and trailing a long guitar cord. Born in Lettsworth, Louisiana, Guy grew up in Louisiana where he learned to play guitar at a womens trucker convention[citation needed]. In the early '50s he began performing

Description:

Verifiably the Mahavishnu Orchestra's earliest live recording - my favorite one, as well. Why? It comes from a radio broadcast by WAER-FM - live from the Jabberwocky Nightclub, Syracuse NY, on April 11 1971. And, without even having their first album released, the setlist spans the entire MO#1 career (which I think is significant - in terms of its break-up): - Miles Beyond; - Dream; - Vital Transformation; - Dawn; - Sanctuary (NOT in the video); and - Awakening. I've cut the whole concert down to 10 minutes, remixed the audio and added video from a later show. If, on the other hand, you want to hear the MO's LAST 1970s recording (the scary "Best Guitar Playing Ever"), go here... www.youtube.com This video was made to celebrate me scoring tickets for the McLaughlin Corea Quintet at the Sydney Opera House in February, 2009 - plus completion of a DVD-ROM with my "100 best" 2006-8 videos. And... well, it's 9/11 again. On that same morning (Australian-time), I was featured as a musician in a national magazine (The Bulletin). I'd hoped to use the "success" to start playing guitar in America. In the end, I don't think anyone even SAW the magazine, in the rush for the morning papers. And things weren't the same after that. Even for me - I'd been standing at the top of the WTC in September of 2000! I seem have a "September" thing - 1999: Sydney Morning Herald's "Best Personal Site On The Web", 2003: re-scheduled Yes concert (I wrote a MySpace blog about it once). There are NO

Description:

In 1982 , Billy Cobham led a short lived ensemble consisting of Allan Holdsworth , Jack Bruce, Didier Lockwood and David Sancious at Montreux. The bands name was - A Gathering Of Minds .The material was somewhat uneven , with some songs being better than others. However the song featured here- "Crazy Eights" is particularly nice . Not sure if this is available on CD or DVD , howvever you can also hear it at audio concert website -Jazzfusion(dot)tv , (stream or free download) The audio quality of this video is not good , I just put a small camera next to speakers , but at that website the quality of this is quite good. At that website you can also find a concert from the previous time Billy Cobham and Jack Bruce played together - a 1979 show with John McLaughlin , Billy Cobham , Jack Bruce and Stu Goldberg.

Description:

For more info - www.eagle-rock.com Return To Forever were at the forefront of jazz/rock fusion in the seventies and like their contemporaries Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra were formed by a former Miles Davis sideman, in this case the great Chick Corea. Return To Forever hit their commercial and artistic peak with a string of albums in the mid-seventies featuring the line-up of Chick Corea on keyboards, Stanley Clarke on bass, Al Di Meola on guitar and Lenny White on drums. In 2008 this classic line-up reunited for their first tour in 25 years and proved that their musicianship and the chemistry within the band were as strong as ever. This concert was filmed at Montreux in July 2008 with the bonus tracks being filmed in Clearwater, Florida later the same month. Main Show Montreux 2008 1) Introduction 2) Hymn Of The Seventh Galaxy 3) Vulcan Worlds 4) Sorceress 5) Song To The Pharaoh Kings 6) Als Solo 7) No Mystery 8) Chicks Solo 9) Romantic Warrior 10) El Bayo de Negro (Stanleys Solo) 11) Lineage (Lennys Solo) 12) Romantic Warrior (conclusion) Bonus Tracks Clearwater 2008 1) Lineage (Lennys Solo) 2) Als Solo 3) Friendship (Chicks Solo) 4) El Bayo de Negro (Stanleys Solo) 5) Duel Of The Jester And The Tyrant

Edited by Renato Sommexe, in this video recorded in frankfurt 1986 we have the chance to see Alan, Gary Husband on drums, Jimmy Johnson on Bass and the amazing extraordinary Key akagi on keys at the time using the best keyboards available, yamaha CP80 for pianos and Yamaha DX7 for synth sounds, sometimes stealing the scene showing a tremendous intimacy with alan's complicated compositions, some of them not featuring keyboads in the original recording, in others replacing the also magnificent Alan Pasqua a long term partner in alan's career. Key akagi also can be seen here at youtube on Miles Davis tour in a Kitaro Look due to the long hair. Also alike is his presence in one of Dimeola's 80's shows and you can hear his improvisations along with tavaglione's wind controller synth solos in gambale's alive album which I long to see one day in video also, if someone has it please get in touch, let's share.

Pt. Jasraj - vocal, Kala Ramnath - violine, Zakir Hussain - Tabla. Sorry i had mislabeled it, now it is corrected, but the first plate of the movie is could not be corrected. www.panditjasraj.com Pandit Jasraj... from this website....A three-year-old Jasraj, with just the seven notes as his inheritance from his departed father, stepped out into the cold world of harsh realities. Today, those seven notes make up his rainbow... his bridge to a mystical realm of sound... that lies beyond the applause, the awards, the titles, the trophies, the honours...putting him in touch with the music of the infinite. ...So if you hear in his voice, the whisper of the unknown... and if you experience in his singing the stillness of unheard sound... you are filled with a sense of gratitude, that he is here singing, and you too are here listening...a witness to a very rich Indian musical tradition... so vibrantly alive, despite the trials of time and the inexplicable twists and turns of fate.... Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, the internationally renowned exponent of the bansuri or bamboo flute, surprisingly does not come from a long lineage of flautists. His father was a famous wrestler who had aspirations of his son following in his footsteps. The younger Chaurasia had an early love of music, however, and by the age of 15 was taking his first steps toward a lifetime as a performer by studying classical vocal with Pandit Raja Ram of Benares. Soon after, he heard a flute recital by Pandit

Please visit Alphonse Mouzon's website here: www.tenaciousrecords.com The group performs a medley of Seventh Arrow and Umbrellas(nevermind the "Waterfall" title on the screen) at some point during their 1971 summer tour of Europe. The lineup is Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, Miroslav Vitous, Alphonse Mouzon and Dom Um Romao. I realize that versions of this clip already exist on youtube, but the details regarding year and title are wrong and some of the musicians' names have even been misspelled. With this upload, I'm trying to minimize the factual errors and just get it right.

Here's John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension live at the Juan Les Pins Jazz Festival, France in 2008. And though I'm often critical of John's more recent work, this is a simply superb band and set. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I have great hopes for the "official" new band (with Chick Corea) - when I see them at the Sydney Opera House next month. But the music here sets a very high standard, indeed, to follow. My home: www.myspace.com.starrex

Edited by Renato Sommexe, in this video recorded at frankfurt 1986 we have the chance to see Alan playing the fabulous synthaxe controller, Gary Husband on drums, Jimmy Johnson on Bass and the amazing extraordinary Key akagi on keys at the time using the best keyboards available, yamaha CP80 for pianos and Yamaha DX7 for synth sounds, sometimes stealing the scene showing a tremendous intimacy with alan's complicated compositions, some of them not featuring keyboads in the original recording, in others replacing the also magnificent Alan Pasqua a long term partner in alan's career.
